Organising a group visit to the Yorkshire Dales?
 To take the worry out of finding your way around the Dales in a Coach, we have devised this section of our website to make your task easier. By using the Group Travel information contained on this page we hope you will enjoy a hassle-free visit to the area.
Visiting the Dales by Coach?
There are numerous operators who organise day visits to the Dales by coach. Lightwater Valley Country Shopping Village offer a Group Day Packages brochure and combine a visit to the shopping village with other Dales’ attractions, such as Newby Hall, Bolton Abbey or even the Black Sheep Brewery!
Many of the attractions in the Yorkshire Dales welcome coaches and people travelling in groups, such as Fountains Abbey, Bolton Abbey, Skipton, Raby, Middleham, Ripley and Richmond Castles, the Dales Countryside Museum and Thorp Perrow Arboretum & Falconry to name but a few.
Visiting the Dales by Train?
For a unique Dales experience, journey through the beautiful Dales’ countryside on a steam train or take a journey to Bolton Abbey on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Alternatively, you could enjoy a journey along the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway. For more information on travelling to the Dales by train click here.
For the busy times, there is a suggested one way system for the smaller roads to reduce any problems with narrow passing places and we hope you will be able to incorporate this into your itinerary.
A whole range of hotels and attractions have been carefully selected for the facilities they can offer your group and, especially with schools in mind, the location of youth hostels has been identified on the map.
