Explore the spectacular caverns and hidden grottos at White Scar Cave and Ingleborough Cave. Have a go at ‘fireside’ crafts like rug making or butter churning, or join in the fun and games at local festivals!

Visit a falconry centre such as Thorp Perrow Arboretum & Falconry Centre, and see the birds in action, or even stroke an owl! Catch a trout for your tea at Kilnsey Park, visit an open farm such as Hazel Brow Farm Visior Centre where you can feed the animals or watch special demonstrations.

Ripon Funfair by Peter HortonEnjoy the thrill of a steam railway with Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, scary rides in a theme park or the excitement of the motor racing circuit.

You could enjoy a narrowboat tour along the beautiful canal in Skipton with Pennine Boat Trips or enjoy a scenic journey on the Settle-Carlisle Railway.

Visit castles, stately homes and museums with attractions suitable for all age groups, or enjoy a family picnic on the banks of a stream.

If outdoor activites are more your thing, visit Brimham Rocks with its fascinating rock formations or High Force waterfall. There's pony trekking, mountain biking, swimming, canoeing, tennis, abseiling and cycling - the choice is endless. Off the Rails offer the opportunity to explore the area by bike, either at your own pace or by following one of the specially designed routes.
