The Yorkshire Dales is also home to a number of excellent trekking centres catering to various ages and riding abilities. Here is a just a small selection for you could choose from:Horse-riding on the Settle Loop

The Pennine Bridleway is a new National Trail, which is being developed for horse riders, cyclists and walkers. Whilst the trail will be opening in stages, the Settle Loop in the Southern Dales will be open from August 2005.

The Settle Loop is a 10-mile trail from Settle, climbing up into the fabulous limestone scenery surrounding Malham. It is expected to be a popular day ride and a leaflet about the Loop is available from local Information Centres. For further information visit www.nationaltrail.co.uk/penninebridleway.

The remainder of the Dales section of the Pennine Bridleway is expected to open in 2007.
