Our long distance routes can be completed during a dedicated holiday or sampled in sections combined with a scenic bus or rail journey. The Dalesway The Dales Way 129 km (80 miles) route from Ilkley to Bowness-on-Windermere, via Wharfedale, Langstrothdale and Dentdale.
 
Pennine Way Pennine Way Famous 434 km (270 miles) trek from Edale, Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm, Scotland. The route mostly goes over the ‘tops’ rather than through the valleys, but largely follows Airedale, Malhamdale, the Three Peaks, Widdale, Buttertubs and West Stonesdale.
 
Nidderdale Way Nidderdale Way 85 km (53 miles) scenic walk around Nidderdale from Ripley, taking in Scar House Reservoir, Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks and How Stean Gorge.
 
Ribble Way Ribble Way 113 km (70 miles) route from Longton, near Preston to Gravel Gap north of Ribblehead, via Clitheroe and Settle.
 
Coast to Coast Walk Coast to Coast Walk 305 km (190 miles) route from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay near Whitby, devised by Alfred Wainwright. Crosses three National Parks. A section traverses the length of Swaledale.
 
Pennine Cycleway Pennine Cycleway 429 km (268 miles) Route 68 of the National Cycle Network runs from Derby to Berwick upon Tweed, via Settle, Ingleton, Dent and Sedbergh.
 
Yorkshire Dales Cycleway

Yorkshire Dales Cycleway 210 km (130 miles) circuitous route which starts and ends in Skipton. It is divided into six convenient sections of 30/40 km, suitable for a day's ride. The route links Skipton, Malham, Ingleton, Hawes, Grinton and Kettlewell.
